The Master of Business Administration program for Executives (EMBA) is a practical, flexible, part-time program, which aims to improve individual and organizational performance by enhancing professionalism and expertise in key business functions and developing strategic thinking.

Course schedule:

The course schedule is adapted for business people and allows the participants to combine their study without compromising their daily professional activities with study. The schedule is flexible and can be adjusted according to the participants’ requests.

Program format:

Core training session

Foreign professors with extensive business practice invited from world class universities: Barcelona Business School, Spain; Newport International University, CA, USA; Richard Ivey School of Business, Canada; IEDC-Bled school of Management, Slovenia; Linköping University, Sweden; IMD Lausanne, Switzerland and others;
Top local experts providing educational experience and lectures on regional specifics of business or services.

Business simulation exercises

Board-based or PC-based business games.“Business simulation games incorporate relevant hands-on activities in an environment that simulates own operating conditions so people learn by experience—their own. Practical workshops

Focus groups discussions moderated by local experts with international, managerial and consulting experience offering educational experience designed to local business situations.

Mentor support to enhance the ability to apply particular management concepts and techniques in Moldova.

Business reports – suggestions for improvements assessed by the participant in the management and operation of the organization during the course.

Final project

Final project focused on solving a real company’s problem. The EMBA participant prepares the Final Project -- project work based on applying/implementing the tools and instruments learned through the program in the participant’s employing organization/own enterprise. The project will present the findings, results and conclusions of the participant’s original research, focused on one particular strategic issue, analyzed in depth, develop solutions and create a comprehensive strategic plan to be implemented.

Requirements

    • Professional experience (at least 5 years of which 3 years on management position);
    • Academic Qualifications (higher education or equivalent of bachelor's degree);
    • Intermediary or advanced knowledge of English;
    • Intermediary PC skills;
    • Additional relevant criteria (potential contribution to the learning experience; motivation; support from participant’s employing organization).

Curriculum

The EMBA curriculum is offered as 15 courses limited to a month over 18 months. The participant will complete a core curriculum and augment this with an appropriate number of electives. The contents (not necessarily in this sequence) are:

  • BUS 551 Project Management;
  • BUS 623 Industry economic analysis;
  • BUS 646 Innovation Management;
  • BUS 415 Communication for Business Administration;
  • BUS 413 Ethics & Social Issues in Business;
  • BUS 681 Change Management and Information technology;
  • BUS 651 International Businesses

Project work

The project will present the findings, results and conclusions of the participant’s original research, focused on one particular strategic issue, analyzed in depth, develop solutions and create a comprehensive strategic plan to be implemented.

Extra-activities

PROERA provides participants with the opportunity to attend many activities workshops, guest lectures, and social events.

Local and International study tours

Participants will be encouraged to compare views, share experience through visits to successful Moldovan enterprises.

International study tours offer participants the opportunity to experience Europe’s business practices through corporate presentations and visits within the best companies from Germany, Belgium, Hungary, etc.

Tuition and fees

The EMBA Program represents a sizeable personal investment. It is therefore important that applicants recognize the financial commitment involved and organize their personal finances accordingly.

Participants are required to complete the official Application Form and sign two contracts — one contract with PROERA, and another one with Newport International University.

The tuition and fees for the EMBA program cover the cost of instruction, teaching materials, use of library and computers with Internet access, organizational expenses.
